LOOKING FOR INFORM ON HOG HUNTING IN OHIO
 

ALLRIGHT FOLKS I HAVE HEARD THE PLEAS FROM THE OHIO DIVISION OF WILD LIFE BEGGING US HUNTERS TO KIL THE WILD HOGS. I AM HOG WILD TO DO SO. I LIVE IN THE GALLIA COUNTY AREA WCHICH THERE IS SUPPOSED TO BE SEVERAL HUNDERED HOG IN THE AREA (ACCORDING TO THE WILDLIFE DIVISION)
TELL ME FOLKS WHAT ARE THE BEST WAYS THAT YOU HAVE FOUND TO HOG HUNT (MINUS THE HOUNDS)

Not sure either on the best way but I'm in Meigs county and I'm also considering givin them a try. I hearing that the Patriot area has a considerable amount.

It depends. You can still hunt them, bait them (probably the easiest), or spot and stalk. I guess it depends on the terrain. Stalking in on them is definitely fun. Baiting them with some of the discussed attractants on other post works very well too. I guess the first thing you have to do is find out where they are at. Talk to some of the local farmers and ranchers and to find out if they are seeing them anywhere, and try to get permission to hunt there property, everyone I've talked to has no problem letting hog hunters deplete the herd.
