Xmas eve hogs
we hunted this evening for hogs ,the land owners been having trouble with them rooting the pastures since the recent rains. The Damage is unbelievable,we saw lots of hogs I caught a sow running across a field about 80-90 yards out I got on her quickly hitting her in the neck with a 100 gr.corelokt, she dropped. We then had to go help the land owner get a cow up that was having trouble,by the time we were done is was dark.We went to load the hog I had killed and on the way back out ,I did little shinning where the hogs had been rooting.I saw two boars fighting and got on closest one's head and squeezed off a round they both vanished. When I got over there I was quite surprised to find I had hit both of them in the head with the 1 shot ! They had been facing each other with both biting at the others shoulders,I would like to say I planed it that way but I didn't. I guess it's good to be lucky every now and then! I stepped off the shot at 149 yards. It's hard to say which boar has the worst luck though!
the last picture is a small portion of the rooting they have done! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Very nice, and good pics. You guys make me actually consider moving south to have something big in the “off season” well I guess some day they should be here or closer in WI. Good job and keep them coming. |
