What does legislation have to do with it? Is the government supposed to establish prices?

Just before Thanksgiving and Xmas, we sell all the hogs we can kill and trap to the Jamaicans, Haitians, Cubans and Orientals. They pay top dollar for wild hogs!

Yea, the market went down on them and no one is trapping them here in TX. Last year the price was up to 68 cents a pound. The kids, as well as a lot of adults, were traping them like crazy. I even went out with dogs a few times to help tie up a flat bed full of them. The two buying stations near me have closed their doors, or at least until the market picks up.

$1.00 per pound here in Orlando. They don't even clean them for you. That $1.00 per pound includes one bullet to the head. The rest of the work is up to you.

legislation had a lot to do with it ,money got the bill passeed without a vote that only 2 select buyers could legaly buy hogs which keeps the price per lb. down to buy but the profit for them ,as you can see goes up
