General Hog Hunting Questions
Do hogs bed down in the daytime? If so, what kind of cover do they prefer if any? Do hogs behave differently on windy days? Do hogs wallaw during the middle of the day?
I was out a lot today and found a lot of sign of hogs just not the hogs themselves. I sat in one spot for an hour or so and then got up and stalked. It was too windy to hear anything but I didn't even spook anything either. I didn't even get to leave the woods with a story!

yes, they bed down during the day......they like thick stuff, marshes, palmetto's....the wind ? well i really never paid too much mind to it, its never been too windy for me not to see one, that i know, lol.......if anything it may put them on alert more, but i dont think it would really disturb their routine too much. the stalking is great on windy days, covers up the sounds of crunching human feet,lol.....

Just like ma said. Thick cover. They also like it where the ground is moist. That makes a big difference here in West Texas. During the day, if you find fresh water with thick cover, you will find the porkers.
