gh2, most on here either dog hunt or stalk hogs. When hunting deer I op for tree stand about 20 to 25ft up or I also have a travling stand,

I would have to say a tree stand. It doesn't have to be as high as a deer stand . Some where around eight to ten feet will do the trick. Ya see when you are hunting hogs it tends to be usually in the brush and unlike deer you really can't see them coming some times. The last place ya want to be is surrounded by anywhere from four to fifteen hogs stuck at the base of a bush. trust me on this one. Play it safe and come home happy not hurt. Hogs tend to get really pissed off when you shoot one of their family and usually try and see what did it.
