My latest go to rifle is my .257 Weatherby. I can shoot anything from Yotes to Mulies to big ol hogs with it and not worry about having to track a wounded animal.

I've got a Marlin 1895 that I'd love to shoot some hogs with, it's my fun gun. Though I have several others to choose from, all but my 223 could do a good job of a hog. You have two nice rifles there man, I don't have either caliber, but wish I had both.

Chris25 I like your choice of weapons. Hornady now makes a new round in 30-30 caliber called LeverEvolution. Check them out they are awesome. We are over run with hogs where I live, hunt them 24hrs a day. Usually we take 30-30 marlin or 44 mag marlin lever actions.

I wasn't going to comment here because I think it's all been stated, but couldn'g resist.

From hunting hogs with a lot of different guns over a lot of years, it's kinda like, the eye of the beholder.

In the right hands every gun that's been discussed will take a wild hog, from 50 lbs to 500 lbs.
