Well, I don't know how you can shoot! I hi-lited HEAD in my post. A .22lr can kill a hog if you shoot it in the head.I have used a .22 mag rifle to shoot 2000lb bulls in the forehead on my pasture @ 30 to 40 yds. Instant lights out, 2000lbs of dead weight falls where it was standing.
Now, do you still have doubts about the .223?

whats the point ,are you an english teacher are do you want to give advice on hog hunting. all i want to know is do you think its humane to shoot at a hog that weighs 300 lbs in the head with my .223

A 223rem is not a round that I would recommend for pigs as if your charged then they lack the power and there projectiles aren’t usually well constructed enough to penetrate with any reliability.
But for a headshot at 100yrds then it will work fine you just don’t have a very large margin of error so shot placement is critical.
