where on a hog shold you shoot to hit the hart. i am going hog hunting with my bow and i need advice

just above and behind the elbow will take out the heart. just 5" to 6" higher and it gets the lungs.

Your best shot with a bow is from behind up under the short ribs to the opposit front shoulder. Other shots depend upon the weight and velocity of the arrow. That said, it is also true that most modern equipment over 65 pounds or xbow over 125 pounds is capable of doing the job if you put the arrow through the vitals with a good head on it. Lee

Reb has the answer. Just try not to go throught shoulder blade with an arrow. The shoulder blade, with a thick shield over it, can be hard to penetrate. I usually aim slightly low and behind the shoulder with an arrow. Quarter away shots are pretty easy. Aim just like you would on a deer with quartering away.
