that sounds pretty good to be able to sell wild hog for 2-3 bucks a pound. I think I mentioned it before that I grew up on a hog farm and i know for sure that there was now way that those hogs brought that kinda of money at market. Is it the fact that it is wild that brings that kind of money. Sounds like a easier way to make a buck than raising farm hogs, more fun for sure! It does sound like a good way to get the wife to agree to let ya go hunting if she knows she is going to get a few dollars in return! |

Here in Tampa, FL. we have over 300,000 Cubans and over 100,000 Asians that love Wild Pork for pit roasting over the holdays, some even buy two! WE have even sold some 75 and 80 pounders for $4 a pound. A week before Xmas, the phone does'nt stop ringing!:)The Cubans celebrate the Feast on the night before the Holy Day(Xmas Day), they call it Noche Buena! Just about all the wild hogs killed in Australia, are sold to the Orient markets in the far east! |

We welded up a tube frame put a nylon fish net on it and axle and old broad bicycle wheels when we hunt WMA's or other places where ATV are not allowed it saves a lot of backbreaking work. Lee
