I had 10 hogs come out on me in a small food plot, and I was only able to take one with my 3006 by the time i could put another in the chambered the rest of em had hauled booty

23 over two nights in a wheat field. They ranged from 40 lbs up to 400 lbs.

I managed to get 3 in 15 minutes under a feeder, the first was a 2fer one shot then after the rest did a chinese fire drill they came back and I took the third.:D

those are all great stories guys, but my favorite is how DoubleA killed four with one shot, thats crazy. Maximum penetration!!

Usually, if the wild pigs are in the area, I'm able to get 2 to 4 pigs in a day. However, I have a couple of exceptions;

Trip A = 46

A mate and I nailed 46 wild pigs (50 – 80kg) in marsh country over two days in October 2001 (before this damn drought). Al shot 22 hogs with his Ruger 270 using 130gn Silvertips and I shot 24 with my Marlin 45-70 using 300gn HPs.

To date, that trip is still the BEST hunting trip I have ever been on. With the drought, the wild pig numbers have diminished from their record numbers. However, I'm still able to get 2 to 6 pigs from the same property each visit.

Trip B = 23

In June 2002, the trip was primarily to shoot foxes and feral cats. We were not expecting pigs and I only had my Ruger 223 with me. I was using Nosler 50gn BTs for the intended task. On the first night we can across a mass of wild pigs. As the action was fast and furious, some pigs took two or three hits to kill, but I was able to get 9 wild pigs. Luckily I had twenty Barnes 53gn X-HP loaded up to take out on the next night. On the second night, the 223 dropped another 14 wild pigs, all single shot kills with the Barnes X-bullet.

.....I forgot to mention that of those 24 wild pigs shot in Oct 01 with my Marlin 45-70, five pigs were shot and killed within 7 seconds. Fast 'n' furious action,.... I fired, cranked the action and fired a further four times until empty. 5 for 5.

i have killed 6 pigs myself in about 5 minutes. we caught them in a peanut field last Christmas eve night while spot lighting. ended up with 7 total.

my dad got 11 one morning.

a few years back,my dad and I got 63 pigs in abouta 3 month time frame.

lots of fun!!!

i once killed 10 pigs that went anywhere from 20 lbs to 40 lbs in one shot. they were bunched up in a creek wallow and i was using a mosberg 835 ulti mag and 3 1/2 in. mag sngle 0 buckshot hand loads. i also took 61 pigs and hogs off a hey pasture for a farmer in one weekend with my 223 wssm . took all those at extreme long range so most of them didnt even hear the shots that killed the others. around here pigs are like rats and roaches once you get infested with them you cant get rid of them and they root up everything . last year a farmer was killed when his tractor wheel fell in a hole rooted up by hogs and his tractor turned over on him.

IM sorry guys..i havent ever hog hunted so i probably shouldnt be talking..but come on..this seems a little unbelieve able...4 with one shot....10 WITH ONE SHOT...i can understand 4 with buck shot....but 10...and if you guys really did get that many....please take into consideration..some one who hasnt hog hunted...trying to believe it..OK?

I got two with one arrow one time. I shot threw a big sow and hit a small piglet
by accident. I had know idea until I saw I had two blood trails. A couple of years later
I shot one out of a group. Some of the hogs came right back in so I nocked another arrow
and whacked another one.:D

we crest a hill top once in china texas. we heard the dogs yelping, musta been 25-30 hogs there, looked like a farm, they killed 3 dogs before we could get them outta there. needless to say we didnt catch them but MAN the adrenaline was flowin THICK!!! haha
