RE: Hog Problem?
i guess hogs and deer act differently in other areas. i know where i hunt and the properties for miles and miles around where i hunt, the hogs haven't hampered the deer hunts. we have hogs running out of our ears. i might not always see them but their signs are there. we have one peanut field that is huge (not sure of acres) but huge. the farmer that planted the field in peanuts had to plant the field twice due to the hogs destroying it the first time. we have gone out spot lighting the field at different times of the night and all we see are herds and herds of whitetail deer. we have 6 traps around this field and average 5 to 10 hogs a week in the traps. we have caught them in the field or coming through the field about sunrise where we do have success dropping several with our rifles and shotguns. every time we see hogs in the field there are also a lot of deer. so in my opinion the hog population what ever the astronomical population of them are, has not kept the deer here from the feeders and fields that we deer hunt.

RE: Hog Problem?
If you hunt your land with dogs every night It'll eventually drive em off.
If it's that bad you have to start kiling the offspring |
RE: Hog Problem?
Wild hogs are like a bad disease that you cant get rid of....... once you have them its almost impossible to get rid of all of them....oh did I say I HATE HOGS!!!

RE: Hog Problem?
You can get several traps and then sell what you trap. Use the money you make to get more supplies for the camp.
