Marlin big loop

Put the big loop on my .45-70.

I'm gonna have it re blued so it matches the rest of the gun. Looks and feels good though!

Nice! Whose lever did you use?

Gee that looks familiar. And it should work for your giant paws!!

Got it from Bronko a couple years back. Dropped it off to have the lever blued on Wednesday.

jake, when you said big loop i thought it would be like the rifleman's rifle.

Bocajnala 10-29-2017 07:51 PM

Not quite that big!

I'm not sure what the lever would actually be called. Possibly Clem knows?

Looks like a pretty handy profile for a lever, which is why I asked. Am I correct in assuming it's a home brew? I have WWG's on most of my "using Marlins," but that's definitely not a WWG.

Nomercy, I don't know the answer to that. hopefully Bronko sees this and can give some more detail.

I bought the factory big loop Marlin a few years ago. Never thought it looked big or felt big until I looked a rifle with the smaller loop. I sure would not trade now that I know the difference.
