Vais, or a side port brake like a DE or SSG

I'm not really sure what makes "hunting style muzzle brake" a hunting style muzzle brake, but I'll assume that means you're not looking for a big shovel-head brake.

The Vais is great, as is the Holland QD. I tend to prefer the Holland because I shoot prone enough in the field that I like a blind bottom brake better. I like the looks of the Vais better though.

I have a few, I also like the Holland type, its loud but doesn't have the sharp painful ear piercing bark of the brakes with the smaller round holes.

Anybody using a Schuler brake? Looks like a Holland QD. I've seen a bunch of them around, but haven't heard or fired one myself.

I have KDF brakes on my .300 Weatherby and .375 RUM. They were cut to the same diameter of the barrels. They work good but do kick up a bit of dust, etc when shooting prone (which I do often).
