How to alter the POI on a combo rifle/shotgun?
My Baikal .223/12 gauge combo gun isn't well regulated, i.e., the shotgun barrel shoots slugs 5" left of the .223 barrel at 50 yards. I was wondering if carefully removing some material from the right side of the choke might shift the POI to the right.
Has anyone tried this (or heard of someone doing so)? I was going to use a 1/2" rat tail file on another shotgun with a screw-in choke as a trial run (so I wouldn't be out more than a few bucks if it didn't pan out), but I'm still interested in your thoughts. |
Hate to ruin a perfectly good choke.
Better to zero the rifle and adjust your aim when shooting the shotgun. |

2 screws at the end of the barrel move left/right, the pin between the barrels at forarm tip controls up/down. sight in the shotgun, than adjust rifle barrel to that sighting.
