scratched barrel
i recently scratched the barrel on my 700 xcr II. can the coating be repaired locally or is that something that has to go back to remington?

What coating is currently on it and do you have a pic?

it's the TriNyte Corrosion Control System.

That stinks, getting a scratch through the coating of your new rifle. I believe that I would phone Remington and ask them. Maybe you will get lucky!
