stoeger m2000 is not an auto anymore????

I went out for the last day of pheasant season today and my stoeger automatic would only fire 1 shot, it would load the second shell but would not fire it. Im stumped.

The action is dirty. While it loads the second shell the bolt is not seating correctly uon the reload of the second round. Thus it will not fire the second time. When you unload it to investigate and load it again it appears fine. Then it does fire that round, loads the second and it will not fire.

A through cleaning is in order. What I would do before I went to a GS.

I did that last night, i took the firing pin assembly completely apart and took the trigger mechanism out and cleaned it as thorough as possible and it still didnt work today. I checked it after the first shot today and it is loading the second shell all the way. The trigger assembly looks pretty complicated for me so maybe it is something in there.

Still under warranty.......................Send it back.

Good time to have them give it a "tune-up" anyway !!!
