Default mini 30 question

I can't get the gas block piston to stay in place. The 4 allen screws are tight but not over tight. When the piston falls out of place the bolt will not shut. You can then hear it rattle with in the gun , the piston that is.

Any thoughts?
Steve

you stated that the allen screws are tight but not over tight, were they loose? did you remove the gas block?

The screws were tight, the gas block fell out of place which then caused the bolt not to close. Once the stock was taken off the gas block just fell out. When its back in place after I cycle the bolt by hand 8-10 times it falls out and the bolt won't close??

I have the gun apart for yearly cleaning before and its never came out.
Thanks for any help/
Steve
