Gun Smithing Vise

Just go to Lowes and get you a regular ole 4" or 6" bench vise.
I've never had a reason to use a "gunsmith" vise.

What BigBulls said. All I do is make up 2 hardwood pieces, and cover the outside in leather. Works like a charm, and wont mark metal or wood.

Get one at sears.
You can get a big one from sears for about $40.00
And use two peaces of wood in the jaws.
