Mossberg 835 Magazine Tube
 

I need to get inside my 835's magazine tube since rust or crud is causing the follower to hang up. Removing the magazine spring and follower seem pretty straight forward. My concern is how to replace the circular spring retainer which holds the magazine spring in place, since it is pretty tight. Do I need a special tool to compress this spring so that I can insert it back into the end of the magazine tube?
