Mossberg SSi rifles

Help me please. I am a collector of single shot rifles. In my collection I have some Mossberg SSi 's. They are very accurate.
BUT ! they have two problems...one is a very bad trigger (I corrected) , the other is mis-fires.............with factory ammo , they work well...with reloads , about one in ten misfire. The guns have a very weak hammer spring...I understand factory ammo have soft primers and reload primers are harder for safety reasons...Does anyone have experience with these rifles.

I have the same problem with a savage 219 single shot. Are you full sizing your reloads? If so just try neck sizing it might solve the problem
