Default Savage Edge Trigger adjustment

I just bought one of the new Savage Edge rifles in .243. They do not come with the accu-trigger. I was wondering though if there was any way to lighten the weight of pull. Mine is well over 5 pounds, probably closer to 7. My scale only measures to 4.5. Is there a way to reduce it to about 3.5?

Default Thanks

Thanks for the info. I was hoping that I could actually do something with the trigger. I'll check on the Basix trigger.
