Ruger All Weather 270WSM Range Report
Ruger all weather 270wsm with a nikon prostaff 3x9x40 s/s synthetic stock. After shooting patterns with most of Winchesters factory offerings, i.e. 130 and 150 c/t bst's and 150 gr p/p's. Didn't try the failsafes or any Federal's loads so can't comment on them. Anyway like I said after shooting patterns, my first handloads of 130 gr b/t's and 140 gr sst's using the accuracy load noted in the nosler data of 59.0 gr of I4350 for the 130's and 58.5 for the 140's. Both loads 4 shot groups of 3 inside and inch with 1 flyer about 2 inches off which most likely is me not the load or gun. I'm quite happy after the way the ww factory ammo shot. Now it's time to tinker a little more.

RE: Ruger All Weather 270WSM Range Report
If you are shooting pretty fast it may not be you just the barrel heating up.I don't have ruger in 270 wsm but have 2 in win and Browning. It doesn't take many shots to heat the barrels up with the wsm's.

RE: Ruger All Weather 270WSM Range Report
My Ruger 77 all weather 300 WSM didn't shoot the winchester factory 180gr power points very well. I reloaded some 180gr XLCs which shoot a .6" group at 100 yards and some 150gr Core-locks that shoot a .5" group at 100 yards. The 180gr power points are the only factory ammo I have shot threw the gun but I have had multiple hand loads that have shot under 1.25" at 100 yards.
