cutting a stock

I'm not sure which forum to put this on so i'm putting it here. I have a mossberg 835 and the stock is at least an inch to long and i was wondering if it's possible to have a gunsmith cut the stock down or do i need to find a new stock for it somewhere else

Absolutely, take it to a smith and he can cut it down for you. It isn't a hard job, but if you try it yourself and hose it, you will have to buy a new stock. Shouldn't take too long either.

While I was having the professional gunsmith shorten the stock, this would be also be a good time to add a quality recoil pad. The new Simm's Limbsaver pads are the best I have ever used - Pacmayer Decellerator is also good.
