Glock 31 or 21

Would you rather have the glock 31(357) or 21(45)? iS WHAT i LIKE ABOUT THE 357 IS THE OPTION OF THE 38 FOR PLINKING. bUT THE 45 IS JUST A GOOD CALIBER. Caps lock was on. oh well

pse-archer -

The "357" used in a Glock 31/32/33 is a 357 SIG caliber, NOT the .357 Magnum. They are totally different cartridges, one is for autos and one is for revolvers. So, you can't use a .38 Special in a Glock. Ballistically, the 357 SIG is similar to the .357 Magnum when firing 125gr bullets. If you're still considering a G31 vs. a G21, I have both (well, almost... I have a G32 and a G21) so I'd be happy to offer my two cents. :)

I have a 357sig barrel for my 27 (same as 31) and I hate it. Very hard round to reload due to the short bottleneck design. And a dangerous round to reload. The rounds using the 40 case are very sensitive to COL. And when you chamber a 357sig with not that much neck tension, you have problem when it pushes the bullet back.

Only way to reload properly is to get a .40cal Factory Crimp die. Put a 9mm sleeve in the die and crimp as had as you can without crushin the neck or case.

Look at all the info on the 40SW, and i feel its just was good as a 357sig.

Ammo will also be a concern for the 357 sig.
