Amen. The Savage is a lot better gun for the same amount of money and almost all of them I've had any dealings with were good shooters. The 710 is not only the ugliest thing I have ever seen but has already garnered quite a well deserved reputation for being a piece of junk.

Coming from a man with a gun cabinet full of Remingtons...buy the Savage! I love my Rem's but the 710 is not anywhere close to being on an even level with the Savages.

the savage 110 is the best all round deer rifle in the world i have shot more deer with this rifle than any other rilfe it is light weight durable and very accurate. all you need is a good scope and this will get you many deer for years to come.

Simple test look at and handle both of them. Pay particular attention on how well the bolt opens and closes. Notice that on the Rem 710 it takes about as much force to close the bolt as it does to crush a Volkswagon. then notice how the Savage bolt just seems to glide in and out like it's on hot butter. Now choose (I'm betting you picked theSavage).
