Weatherby scopes, who made em?

The specific scope I am asking about was the Supreme series that Weatherby put their name on. I believe they were built in Japan (I think thats right but wouldnt swear too it) and had the red and silver rings on the back (occular bell) of them. They were the last of the Weatherby scopes. I'm not talking about the older, first generation scopes that had the dual reticle adjustments on top of the scopes instead of one on the top and one on the side as is the norm today. Anyone remember who actually built those scopes for Weatherby?

Just curious,
RA

Red, I do not know if I can help you out here or not. I do know that a few years ago I sent in one of the scopes you are talking about to Weatherby and when I got it back it was in a Tasco box of all things. So I supect the scopes were contracted out with Tasco who back then had them made in Japan. Do you think the mounts could also be Tasko?
