Default Mossberg 935

I'm looking for an all purpose semi-auto 12 gauge. I've heard good reports about the new Mossberg 935. I'm wondering if any one out there has one and what you think about. I hunt everything there is to hunt, deer, ducks, geese, turkey, rabbits, pheasant... I appriciate your opinions, good or bad. Thanks.

I have an 835 and its awesome. I thought about stepping up to the 935, but its not really "all-purpose" because it is not chambered for 2 3/4" shells, just mag loads. Other than that, i would say it is an awesome gun like the 835 is.

Your wrong ,it is chambered for 2 3/4.I have not shot mine yet but have heard reports that it will not cycle 2 3/4" untill gun has been broken in with 3" or 3 1/2" shells.

mossberg web site says it shoots only 3-3.5" loads...they also have a new 930 autoloader that shoots 2 3/4", but the 935 says magnum loads

Yes it was only designed to shoot 3 and 3 1/2", but guys that have shot theres have found that after being broke in with the 3" in shells that it would also cycle the 2 3/4" shells.the barrels are chamber for all 3 size shells.

Thanks for addressing the shell sizes, that was one of my concerns about this gun. I'm going to do some more research into the topic, but I really appriciate all of your input.

Take a look at a Bakail MP153. I looked at both last year and chose the Bakail. Finish is nothing to brag about, but it is a real workhorse. The mossy is a nicer looking gun, though.

awesome, thanks for the info jcb9901, i may have to look in to those over my 835 now. the 935 arent really that expensive either, i jound one at gander mountain for $500. It was the hardwoods camo turkey edition like my 835 is. It was real nice.
