What characteristics do you like in a Gun ?

RE: What characteristics do you like in a Gun ?
Design, if the bolt handle ain't on the left I won't have it.
Dependability, I gotta be able to strip the bolt and make it work no matter what.
Handiness, the rifle has to hit my shoulder with my eye centered in the scope, and be pointed at the game.
Accuracy, I want to hit the heart or the aorta, Takin' out a lung on the way is a plus.

1. dependable
2. good handling, I'm not sure how to define a good handling gun but you
definately know it when you have one.

Accuracy (i.e. factory test each barrel at 100 yds. 3 shot groups 1/2")
Dependability
Manufacturers reputation
Overall Quality
Price
Design of the gun (i.e. floating barrel, smooth adjustable trigger, beautiful bolt action, well fitting stock)
Oh... that's my Tikka T3

Try 3 shot 1" group from the factory.. I bet your gun does better then that though

Well I go for design first and quality second because if a gun isn't designed properly it won't be accurate, dependable, easy to field repair and handle well. Now if the quality is not there in a properly designed gun you have a disappointment on your hands.

Dependability (I can work loads for accuracy)
Accuracy (only as accuarte as the shooter)
Functionabilty/Ergonomic (how easy is it to properly operate comfortably)
Styling (nothing flashy, just nice clean, classic lines)
Price (I can save)
What ones fit this best for me?
Ruger single actions and the Ruger #1 and the Hk P7 series models
