Design, if the bolt handle ain't on the left I won't have it.
Dependability, I gotta be able to strip the bolt and make it work no matter what. Handiness, the rifle has to hit my shoulder with my eye centered in the scope, and be pointed at the game. Accuracy, I want to hit the heart or the aorta, Takin' out a lung on the way is a plus. |

RE: What characteristics do you like in a Gun ?
Well I go for design first and quality second because if a gun isn't designed properly it won't be accurate, dependable, easy to field repair and handle well. Now if the quality is not there in a properly designed gun you have a disappointment on your hands.
