Good scope for a Ruger 10/22?

Hello,

I just purchased a stock 10/22 and what to scope it. I'm having a heck of a time with adjusting the stock sights and think I want to try out a scope on this gun. Any good suggestions on a 4x scope? Something affordable, light, but decent quality for the range.

Thanks!

Grant

The 10/22 is an accurate rifle and deserves a decent scope. If you want to stay inexpensive, go with a full size, 1 inch tubed Bushnell or Simmons. I've got a Simmons 3x9 variable on mine. For me, the extra power is handy for examining squirrel-shaped lumps high in the trees or in the distance.

I got a pine ridge on mine with no issues. Ain't the greatest but workes just fine for a 22LR. You want a scope with parralax set to ~50 to 75yards. The typical rifle scopes are set for 150 yards.

Ruger 10/22 deserves a good scope as they can be very accurate rifles. I like the
Leupold 4x rimfire scope on mine, but may be a little too much $$$ ? I've also used
a Weaver 4x rimfire scope, and it was really good too. Following is a link for good source for scopes, at pretty decent prices. I've purchased from them a few time, and
no problems.
