Stainless barrels or Blue
 

Which one to buy for a hunting rifle? Will the matted stainless shine if the sun light hits it? I want a sst barrel, but not the shine. What do you guys recomend?[&o]

Depends as usual. I know the savages shine horriblely, but the sako has the dullest look I have ever seen. For guns I plan to elk or moose hunt with, I only use stainless. Well thats not true. I use synthetic stocks at least. But would prefer stainless.

I prefer S/S over Blued. Mainly for the durability of them.If the glare which I never had a problem with concerns you,have it bead blasted.Stainless is more forgiving using it in foul weather.

If you want a SS barrel ,buy it and camo the gun with Flat spray paint
Takes the shine off every time.

My stainless barrels are bead blasted and shine less than most blued barrels.
