I checked out that web site oldelk, and he does have his setup done to perfection! He is proclaiming runout to be in the .00001! I would love to spend a day with him just to watch it work!!! I guess the lathes and chucks I work with are just plain not capable of keeping runout to such a tolerence on a piecs of stock that is 22-26" long. :(

p.s. I thought that blue benchrest gun he did was UGLY!!!:) But a piece of art to say the least!!

Not something I'd use for hunting,benchrest shooting for sure,but with those tolerences the chances of the gun jamming or misfiring because
of dirt inadvertantly getting into the action is to high.I like my tolerences .003" for hunting. May not be as accurate but at least I know it will function in different environments.

Nula rifles are built to identical tolerances and they function perfectly. The only thing that may cause a problem in my opinion is the bolt sleeving that may be too tight.
