i am thinking about buying a .270 winchester or a .30-06. springfiled i was wondering witch is more versotile we have the powerlines where i hunt witch shoot's can be 200yrds easy but then again we have dense wood cover everyone uses 30-06. but the miss cause of distance cause it is eaither realy close shot (1 wasunder 8 yards) or up to 300yrds (witch brought down a 10 pointer that filed dressed 245lbs) so plase all options are open or if u now of a gun that will do it all thx

The 06 just for the availability of bullets. Balistcs are close I think the 06 is the best all around rifle.
