Cabelas Alaskan Guide Series Scopes

Anybody have one? They are pretty reasonably priced. Who makes them? They have a 4.5-15x52 with a 30mm tube for $369. Just wondering what level of quality they are.

They are darn good quality and Cabelas backs their products well. I never worry about anything I buy at Cabelas.

Yeah , but just who makes them ?. I've wondered about that myself.

I have the alaskan guide binoculars and have always been very happy with them. And Cabelas is great at backing up their branded products, so how can you go wrong. The only problem I have seen with the AG binoculars is that they seem heavier than comparable from Leupold, though less expensive too.

The topic of "Who makes Alaskan Guide scopes?" seems to come up every now and then, and the consensus is that they're made by different manufacturers.

Also, confidentiality is a big part of the process, so Cabela's won't say, and the manufacturers won't say, either.

Word is that they're good scopes and Cabela backs them 100%.

Sounds like a low-risk purchase to me.

It's probably any number of Japanese contractors who make brand label products like the Browning Scopes,Weaver,Simmons,Tasco, bushnell and a whole lot more brands.
