Me too. My 280 Rem., 308 Win. and 35 Rem. have served me very well. Can't wait to see how well my new Remington 7600 Carbine 30-06 Spr. will do.

Hmmmm I am really outdated then. Since the deer have armor plating nowadays unless one uses a superduperultrashortmag. I guess the ole SKS with the weak 7.62x39 will never be able to take another deer or even punch a hole in paper since it is obsolete.

10ga I would say is far from outdated. It has the ability to reach out and touch some bird. Sure, there is 12ga loads with 3.5" payloads, with the weight of a 12ga. Little extra heft of a 10, and you have less recoil. Ill take that any day. I question the need for the 16ga, but all the other sizes, theres sound use for them, for each user. 28ga falls between the 410 and the 20ga nicely. Some want more oomph then a 410, but may not like the 20ga for whatever reason. If we want to be realistic, 90% of whats out there has no use, or need. 22LR, and a 45/70 combined will kill anything in the NW hemisphere, all the other guns are useless, lol. But you cant tell anyone with an '06 that hehe
