scope mounting question

What is the best product for keeping screws tight when mounting scopes? I have a Rem 700 270 cal I am putting a new scope on.

Blue Loctite. And when you are final tightening the screws, lightly tap the end of your screwdriver with a small hammer while you are tightening to help seat the threads.

Thanks for the info.
I noticed when I loosened the screws that there was a little "pop" when they broke loose. They were in there pretty good.
