Do you guys know much about the Simmons Whitetail Expedition? According to Chuck Hawks, this Simmons line is better than the Aetec. However, I can't seem to find it at www.riflescopes.com I am considering purchasing this model. The Aspherical Lens and generous eye relief I find quite appealing. I haven't exacty found a price on this scope yet, but if its like the other Simmons, it should be competively priced.

Gorse,
I have recently been looking into buying 3-9x40 Burris combo with the spotting scope. I have been reading many articles and forums, and Burris always seems to recieve praise. From what I read, they are incredibly sturdy, high quality, and American based (although the FF II may be the exception). The combo is also very reasonably priced. But I have also been looking into one of their higher end lines, the Signature Selects. The 3-10x40. I understand this is more expensive, but from what I read, it is well worth the money. However, I also feel that the FF II would be a solid starting point in my "scope experience." Do you (or anyone) know the major advantages of the Sig. Series over the FF II?
