Are NcStar Rifle Scopes any good?

Was at a gun show today and an exhibitor was really pushing the Nc Star line of rifle scopes. While I will admit that the price is right, I don't equate "Made in China" with the term quality. Has anybody had any good luck with these? Are they as good as a Leupold or Nikon? Do they hold up in real bad weather?

they are pretty good i wouldnt put them up there with leupold or nikon but deffinately comparable to high end simmons and bushnell scopes. How good were the guys prices? My uncle sells them in his gun shop, so I get them at his cost. I bet my price is better. tell what models you were interested in and I'll give you my prices.

Those scopes suck, especially the ones with the little on/off knob to make the reticle red. They're illegal up here.

I might be stepping on some toes here since I'm a newbe, but I've read a lot of posts concerning the NC scope's at "ruger22.com", whereas the administrator of that site sells them at "cheapgunparts.com". I've seen a lot of positive posts concerning them, however I don't have one. Hope this info helps.

The one that really caught my eye is the 3-12X50 Rangefinder #SUR31250G. He was selling it for $129. I didn't consider the legality of the illumination. Do you know where they are illegal?

I have one of there varible pistol scopes I use on my small caliber bbls.
So far I have had no real problem with it, for the price and just paper punching it works fine.
I dont think I would trust it on a heavy recoiler for hunting tho. But thats just me

I got three of the NC Star scopes. I use one on my Ruger Super Redhawk 44 mag. After a couple of hundred shots the scope is still working. I also use them as scopes for no drill and tap scout scope mounts on some of my milsurps. Consider what I paid for them I'm satisfied with the results. I'm getting .5" groups with my Swiss K-31 using a 2X7 NC Star scout scope.

I have one of the variable powered pistol scopes on a scout mount on my mini-14 and the same scope on a scout mount on my mosin nagant M44, i have 4x30mm on my marlin 336 30-30 and a 6x42mm on my 308 and on my 50 cal muzzle loader. for the money i think they are great. i have not had any problems at all with the NCstar scopes.

I can sell you the 3-12X50 Rangefinder #SUR31250G for $109 plus shipping. I only charge actuall shipping cost so whatever it cost for me to ship to you is what i charge for shipping. PM me tell me where you live ill find out what the shipping costs and give ya a final price.

also Ncstars customer service is awesome if you need anything or ever have a problem they really back their products up. I had a pair of scope rings and one of them fit funny on the mount base i called them and, what ended up happening I sent the old rings back to them and a week and a half later I had a set of new rings.

Why are lighted reticles illegal? I've never heard of that before.
