Scope for a 223 NEF Handi Rifle
 

Looking for a good middle of the road scope for my 223 NEF. How high should I go in power? Is 3-9 enough??

I bought a cheap Simmons scope off Ebay when I got mine. Now 2 years later I wish I had bough a better scope. I'm seriously looking at the 3.8-12 Simmon Aetec. You can find them for around $150 if you do your homework. I have a 2.8-10 on my .260 Mountain rifle and for the money, it's a darn fine scope.

You won't go wrong with a Simmons Aetec. I use them and have never had any problem of any kind. Bushnell Trophy would be good as well for about 100.00 I would go 4x12 if you might shoot prairie dogs to.

i use simmons 44 mags and aetecs I love them dont see any reason to change other then they are manufactured over seas.
