RE: kimber vs. remington
I agree with Swiss, I prefer the Sako-Finnlight or the Kimber-Montana. BUT I spent several hours behind a 300SAUM Titanium 700 lastyear at a Remington dealer meet. The gun felt equally awesome. I'm can't remember for sure which ones will be intro'ed but some of the 700 line is getting the 270WSM and 300WSM for 05. If not the Titanium this year I bet it will be on line for nextyear. It's a neat gun and NOT anything like the plain jane old 700ADL Synthetic (which aint a bad rifle in the first place if you ask me).
The Kimber just FEEEEELS so damned good tho!!!

RE: kimber vs. remington
I've got a Kimber 8400 Classic on my wish list for this year. With a daughter in college, though, I'm probably going to have to sell one of my other guns to make it happen.
I was curious about those "match grade" barrels and emailed Kimber. They sent me a nice reply stating that their barrels were button rifled. I was glad to hear that since the only hammer forged barrels I've had that are worth a darn are the Sakos.
