Glass bedding a forearm on a single-shot?
 

I shoot the T/C Encore and was just curious if anyone has done this. pros/cons? Would it be worth it? Thanx in advance for any replies.

Guys that I have talked to that have floated or bedded the forearm on the T/C's claim it really helps. I have never done any of mine though so its just hearsay. There are some forums online for just T/C guns. You may find some help there.

on a TC i think i would leave it be but i have floated the forend on a H&R single shot in .223 and it seemed to have improved the accuracy some

I get "O" rings that just fit over the screws and use them to give me a little clearance for the forend... also scrape out the excess plastic from the forends to loosen them up a bit... remember to tighten the rear screw first and then only snug not tight...

Rockfish, I've got a crapload of small o-rings that I used to use on some old mechanical broadheads that may just fit. I'll try that and see what happens. Thanks for the replies guys. BTW wolf, why would you not try it on the Encore, but bed the forearm on the Handi-Rifle? Just curious.

because the TC was accurate enough for me, and the handi rifle wasn't. also the handi rifles fore arm is cheaper to replace if I messed it up. the way I floated the barrel was glued some 220 grit sand paper to a piece of closet rod set it in my wood lathe and sanded out the channel in the forarm, then used rubber washers as a spacer for where the forearm screw went into the barrel.
