Hornady Customs Problem

I just went out and shot a half of a box of Hornady Custom, 139gr. BTSP in 7MM Rem. Magnum. Two of the cases had a hole right in the neck area. The holes appeared to be burned, not cracked! I shoot Customs regularly, and this is the first problem I have had.
Just a word of warning to Hornady Custom 7MM users! And has anyone else run in to this problem too?

RE: Hornady Customs Problem

the only ammo i shoot for my 450marlin is hornady custum 350gr.
i have had problems like that before but the shells were rusted and had problems feeding and taking out when shot.
i always check the ammo before i buy my ammo ever since.i was cleaning out my gub safe and found 6 rounds 250gr. 35whelen core lokt's. out of the 20 rounds, those 6 were discolloered ( brown casing ) and the bullet was not as shinny as the others and looked like it was like some rounds that where sitting in my truck for about a year. i wonder if this could cause accuracy problems or shooting problems shooting them.

RE: Hornady Customs Problem

Never ever had a problem with Hornady custom ammo or any other for that matter as far as chambering etc. I would march down to where you bought it and ask for an explanation.
