.22 WMR Bullets
I just attended a gun show today and purchased a box of remington 40 grain psp. Does anyone have any experience with these bullets on game? I take my .22 WMR with me in the fall for squirrels and sometimes get the chance to take a turkey. In the past I have used the CCI Maxi-Mag 40 grain HP. I like the performance, but wanted to try something different.

RE: .22 WMR Bullets
they most likely are not as fast as the Maxi mags but I've had fairly decent results with them... I had to re-sight for them, hence the thoughts about the velocity difference... they should be good for anything you'll find in the small game catagory...

I shoot the Win. .22 mag supreems . There Awsome. Very flat shooting up to 100yds. 1 and a half inch groups .

RE: .22 WMR Bullets
40gr. PSP should do fine. Might even be better for turkey, being a PSP instead of HP.
Be sure to check your sights as POI may be different. |
RE: .22 WMR Bullets
I have had real bad luck with the Rem WMR's in my Ruger M77. I went through 2 boxes and had horrible groups. I switched to the Win Supreme (black box) I love these bullets, in fact my Ruger loves all of the Win line including the plain ol silver boxes. The black box supremes are a little more expensive but whats $2 when they shoot great

RE: .22 WMR Bullets
I shoot the remington 33gr. pills out of my Marlin 983 with a group that which you could cover with a soda top at a 100yds. Does an excellent job on squirrels

RE: .22 WMR Bullets
My 22mag is the Ruger 77/22 with lam. stock & stainless barrel/action. It likes the
Remington V-Max ammo the best - 1" groups or better. It also does well with CCI 40gr. HP. |
