bullet trajectory
does anyone know the bullet trajectory for a 30-30? I have mine zeroed at 100yds. Is the bullet still going up at that point? If so, how many yards past that will the bullet drop back down to the line of sight? Any links on trajectory charts? Sorry so many questions. Just trying to get an idea.

RE: bullet trajectory
Trajectory is based on velocity which is based on load. It is also impacted by such things as wind, barometric pressure and elevation. If you are sighted in a 100 yards it would mean nothing in terms of trajectory without the other pieces of information. A simple rule of thumb however is are you sighting dead center and is the bullet striking dead center at 100 yards. If you are then the bullet is in plane and would not yet be declining in trajectory. If you are sighting lower than dead center the bullet is rising if you are sighting higher than dead center then the bullet is in decline.

RE: bullet trajectory
The bullet begins dropping the instant that it leaves the barrel. If you have a 30-30 sighted in for 100 yards the bullet will strike lower as the distance is increased past 100yards.It will strike higher as you reduce the distance from 100yards until the bullet path crosses the line of sight again.

RE: bullet trajectory
Try this one. You will need the BC, velocity, bullet weight, and scope height. Set wind to zero.
