model 12?
does anyone know if winchester makes/made a model 12 in a 20 gauge? I have (ok, they are my dads, but someday i will have them) matching .410 and 12 gauge model 12s, but i would love to someday have a 20ga too, if it even exists. the winchester website didnt help me at all.
Thanks for any information |
RE: model 12?
Yes, they made a 12, 16, 20, 28, & 410.
Good luck on your quest.;) |
RE: model 12?
Sorry BB.
I agree with almost everything you say, but you missed on this one. The model 12 was made in 12, 16, 20 and 28. The .410 was a model 42. I had Model 12's in 12, 20, and 28, and a model 42 .410, all in skeet grade. I wish I had those guns today. |
RE: model 12?
the .410 was a model 42?? It looks EXACTLY like the 12ga.
Thanks for the info guys, I hope someday i get my hands on a 20ga someday. I dont know why i like 20 gauge so much, but the only 20 we have is a single shot (got the matching .410 for that one too) |
RE: model 12?
You're right, sorry about that.

RE: model 12?
Those3 42's are good guns, but are WAYYYYYYYYYYYYy overpriced today.
|
RE: model 12?
If you think the 42's are overpriced, check out what a Model 12 in 28ga will run you. I need a 28ga to complete my collection of Model 12's but I can't see myself dropping $2500 for a field-grade shotgun. Thats rediculous!!!!!

RE: model 12?
my uncles has one in 20 gauge. it's a real good gun.

RE: model 12?
Mod. 42 is almost identical externally to Mod. 12, but internally is quite different.
