what is the deffirance in the two or ar they the same rifle?

I think the M2 is a necked down 22 long rifle, the way the HMR is a necked down 22 mag.

yep, i read somewhere, they came out with the mach 2 because of having difficulty cycling the 17 hmr through auto loaders.

yes the HMR has more power, its like a 22lr vs a 22mag...

check out www.rimfirecental.com, they have all the information on both calibers that u could possibly need (or want)

Iver herd good things about the m2 , people liek it because it causes less meat damage them a hmr which is explosive on small game. if your not saving meat like me go for the HMR it's fun watching the explosive damage on gophers.
