GREAT deal on a new ADL from Wally-World of all places!
 

I've been looking for a decent used ADL or BDL short action as the basis eventually for a custom rifle. Well, I just happened to be a Wally today to get cat litter and other stuff, and I made my usual swing through the electronics dept to sporting goods. Well, to make a long story short, there is the case was a Remington M700ADL synthetic in 7mmMag for $275! Well, I already have a 7mmSTW, so 7mm mag is redundant anyway, so I thought, whatever, but then I noticed someone had written on the bottom of the tag "243 also available," and right then I knew if they still had the 243 in stock it was mine. So I went and hunted down an elusive "Wal-Mart sporting goods associate" (180 class bucks are easier to find, I might add, and usually smarter too!:D;)), and walked out (well, I was "******ed" out) with a brand new M700ADL for $275. The only thing wrong with it was that it had a couple tiny rust spots on the bolt which came right off with CLP, but otherwise it was perfect. They also had a Remington 7400 semi-auto rifle for clearanced for $275 as well, but I'm not a semi-auto hunting rifle fan and know little about the 7400, so I passed on it for the M700.

I found a good deal on 1 also. I ordered a NEF in .223 for my daughter for christmas, And while in another store the owner was saying that he couldn't get rid of the ADL's he had them marked at $399 and said he was giong to blow them out at $300 soon. I asked if he had any youth models in 223 which they don't make. He had a 243 and would swap stocks so we walked out with a 223 youth for $300 .. I canncled the order on the NEF ..

Its suprising what you find at walmart at times.

Just a few days ago there -there was a weatherby30/06 marked down to $250also- from $469 i believe.

Got me a stainless 30/06 savage with a cheap scope for $250 a few yrs back from wallmart also- not a big a mark down as it was cheaper to start
But a good deal nonethe less.

Wonderful......you never know what you will find at wally world. Last year I called to see if they had any Remington 870 supermags (for duck hunting) the lady I talked to looked and told me "Yes, I have one for $228.00". I told her to put my name on it I was enroute. I got to wally world and the gentleman behind the counter told me that was the wrong price<<<<<<DUH>>>>&g t; but since she had written the price on the box along with my name he sold it to me.:D Saved me enough for several boxes of steel:)

About 4 years ago I was in Wally-World just shopping (dragged there by my wife), I went over to the sporting good section and saw a Browning A-Bolt II hunter .30-06 for $349.96. After checking ot over several times I bought it, kept it for 2 years & sold it for $500.00

I did not even know Walmart sold Browning Rifles
