Browning308 - you better get the steak sauce because I've seen a moose killed w/ a 6mm. You can probably get off on a technicality, because its not technically a 243/per say and we handload which makes it quite a bit more than a factory 243 round.

.......ive seen it done too but i bet ya anything it wasnt shot in the neck

A .243 WAS THE FIRST RIFLE I SHOT AND CONTRIBUTED TO MY FIRST KILL. I DROPPED A 180 LB. TEXAS AOUDAD AT 130 YARDS WITH A VITAL SHOT PLACEMENT. REMEMBER ITS ALL IN THE SHOT PLACEMENT. A .243 IS NO PROBLEM FOR DEER. GREAT GUN.
