RE: bennelli or berreta
I have Benelli SBE 12ga. It has never failed me. It looks good, it feels good, I still hate shooting 3 1/2 " shells but the gun is awsome !

RE: bennelli or berreta
I recommend to look at the Benelli M2 and the Beretta AL 391 Urika instead of their 3 1/2" brothers for your intended use. 3 1/2" guns are great for waterfowling. They tend to be on the heavy side and can some times have cycling issues with lighter loads for upland. A 3" gun is the best choice for an all around gun for Quail to Geese. The M2 will be a lot easier to clean than the Urika. Both are quality guns and only hold four shells total. They are light in weight and balance well.
If your heart is set on a 3 1/2"er. I would think that just by holding the SBEII and Xtrema right after each other would make the decesion pretty easy. The SBEII is light in weight and feels similar to a 3" gun. The Xtrema is a little heavier but has a big feel to it. Again both guns are well made and balance well. The SBEII will be a little lillte easier to clean. The Xtrema holds five total shells to the SBEII's four. I would also recommend not to short change yourself and look at the Browning Golds. They are as good as, if not better than the Benelli's and Beretta's. All of these guns are high quality and have a lot of features. |
