new old 12 guage

just got handed downa 12 guage stevens by savage BOLT action with the slide bolt
just wondering about it and any history on it if any knows about it
nice gun and it works good for bird hunting as the barrel has a slight down curve to it about 8 inches from the muzzle

My Opa had one in 16 gauge. He used to take it out, right smack in the middle of town and let her rip for new years! Yup, my whole families nut's!
